Intech Clean Energy nominated to participate in dena RES Programme
Press release, Kehl, Germany
Intech Clean Energy, based in Germany, is one of the companies selected to implement a reference project for its innovative renewable energy solution, the Energy Container, as part of the dena Renewable Energy Solutions Program (dena RES Program). With this program, supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the German Energy Agency helps German companies wishing to establish renewable energy technologies in foreign markets.
The Energy Container developed by Intech in Germany is coupled with renewable energy sources such as solar, water or wind and supplies buildings and machines with electricity. The system can thus be used as an alternative to grid connection in remote areas. According to Mr. Christoph Vollmer, Managing Director of Intech, the system was developed to replace diesel or liquefied petroleum gas power generators worldwide with power generation from renewable energy sources. Since electricity from sun and wind is not constantly available, the energy container is equipped with an appropriate storage system and the necessary monitoring equipment.
Components of the reference plant have already been delivered to an organic farm in the French region of Alsace. The "Un Jardin et des Graines" farm is not connected to the power grid and the Intech energy container takes over its entire power supply. The renewable energy source will be a solar powered system, which will be partly installed on the energy container and partly on the roof of an outbuilding. The total energy demand will be generated by the sun. For the French organic farmer, this is a good opportunity to put his sustainable convictions into practice.
The first systems have already been delivered to Australia (McKinlay) and Canada. Meanwhile, increasing demand from Europe and Africa has been clearly noted.
By participating in the dena RES programme, Intech hopes to increase its visibility in the French-speaking world. High demand and growth opportunities are expected in the long term especially in the off-grid segment in the French overseas territories (DOM-TOM), which are to be actively addressed with the pilot project.
This project is part of the worldwide dena Renewable Energy Solutions Programme coordinated by the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena) - the German Energy Agency - and supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) within the German Energy Solutions Initiative.
